Invitation to recognize your changeless Self in a rapidly changing world

Everything in our environment is perpetually fluctuating, vacillating, and undergoing change. Our physical forms are in a constant state of transformation. Everything in the world, and indeed throughout the entire universe, is experiencing change. From the natural world to the celestial bodies, there is nothing within our universe that remains unchanged. However, within each of us resides an element that remains changeless and immutable.

Throughout the entirety of your existence, from your earliest memories as a young child to your present age, you have always been a constant presence, fully aware of the unfolding events. Whether at the age of three, eighteen, thirty-five, or sixty, you have continually been conscious and aware of your experiences. You have perpetually perceived, thought, felt, and been attuned to your bodily sensations. Your life has consistently been experienced through your five senses and potentially through your intuition. Ask yourself: Have I ever not been present to my life experiences?

There exists a profound aspect within you that observes the changes occurring, yet this observing aspect itself remains unchanged.

Indeed, when one is truly present and genuinely aware of what is being observed through the senses, a profound sense of peace and true contentment is experienced. In this state of pure presence, when all awareness is brought to the present moment, genuine happiness is realized. In this state of being, there is no preoccupation with the past or future. There is an absence of anxiety.

What I am emphasizing now is that changeless aspect of your being, which constitutes your true Self. It is your inherent nature. It has been with you since the inception of your existence because it embodies your essence. It is not represented by the individual, the temperament, the conditioning, the personality, the body, the thoughts, or the feelings—all of which are subject to change. Our thoughts and feelings are in a state of constant flux.

The current world is fraught with chaos. Although the world has always been noisy, it appears particularly cacophonous at present. The multitude of noises, the myriad of vociferous voices, and the dramatic turbulence make it challenging to recognize our true Self, which is characterized by inner peace and unwavering happiness.

I extend an invitation for you to experience the unchanging Self amidst an ever-changing world. To achieve this, it is necessary to practice suspending the thoughts that strive to divert us from our true nature. Thoughts are merely thoughts. They obscure our inner truth and obstruct our inner peace. This does not imply inaction when action is required. Rather, it signifies that any action taken should emanate from a place of quiet strength and unwavering calmness.

At this moment, we are being called to delve deeper than ever before; to turn away from the fluctuating world of fear and towards the immutable love that we inherently are. May you take time each day to accept the invitation and answer the call.

May you feel the warmth of love and light of your true nature during these times of rapid change,
